Free vs Pro — what's included
A plain comparison of the free plan and Pro, and exactly what each one unlocks.
HoneyGate has two plans: a genuinely useful Free plan, and Pro for communities that want the advanced tools. You only ever pay for Pro if you choose to upgrade, and you're never charged for a feature you haven't turned on.
The short version
- Free — $0. Everything you need to run a welcoming, active community: roles, welcomes, points & XP, all the games, basic giveaways, a shop, and the admin panel. Plus the developer tools (API, webhooks, widgets).
- Pro — $9.99/month (or $99.90/year, which works out to about $8.33/month). Adds the growth and power-user features: quests, tickets, starboard, invite tracking, scheduled announcements, auto-moderation, alt detection, and more. (Automatic levels & role rewards are Free — see below.)
What's in Free
- Roles — let members self-assign roles from a button menu, and auto-grant a role when someone joins or verifies.
- Welcome messages — greet new members with a custom message and starter roles.
- Points & XP — reward activity (chatting, voice, reactions) with XP, and the network-wide Points system.
- Automatic levels & role rewards — members level up as their XP grows, and you choose which roles they unlock at each milestone. (Other bots charge for this; HoneyGate doesn't.)
- Games — all five: QUIZR, CALLR, SLAYR, EXPOSR, and CAPTR.
- Giveaways — run basic giveaways with a click.
- Shop & tipping — let members spend XP/Points in a shop and tip each other.
- The admin panel & member portal — the full web dashboards for you and your members.
- A basic embed builder — for clean, templated announcements.
- Developer tools — a REST API, outbound webhooks, and embeddable widgets (these are part of Free because they're infrastructure, not an upsell).
- For crypto communities: wallet verification and basic token/NFT gating (up to two token gates and two NFT gates) are included free.
What Pro adds
Everything in Free, plus:
- Quests — daily, weekly, and one-time goals with rewards.
- Tickets — a private support-ticket system.
- Starboard — a "best of" channel for top-reacted messages.
- Invite tracking — see who's bringing new members in.
- Scheduled announcements — write now, post later, on a schedule.
- Whitelist manager and launch countdowns — for organised launches.
- Auto-moderation — filter invite links, spam, excessive caps, and banned words.
- Alt detection — flag likely duplicate accounts.
- Churn alerts — get notified when active members go quiet.
- Reputation passport — the cross-server reputation profile and
/passport. - A full embed builder and a live event stream for integrations.
- For crypto communities: combo & trait-based gating, buy/sell/list transaction alerts, holder snapshots, airdrops, revenue-sharing, mint & floor alerts, NFT galleries, and more.
Which should you start on?
Start on Free. It's not a crippled trial — most small and mid-size communities run happily on it forever. Upgrade to Pro when you want quests, tickets, starboard, invite tracking, or the growth tools — there's no commitment, and you can cancel any time (see Managing your subscription).
