Quests & daily tasks

Bite-sized goals and a daily check-in that earn you extra rewards and build streaks.

On top of earning XP just by taking part, many servers set up quests, small clear goals, plus a daily check-in. Both are easy ways to earn extra rewards.

Quests

A quest is a goal with a reward attached. Examples you might see:

• Send 10 messages today.
• Earn 100 XP this week.
• Spend 30 minutes in voice.
• Reach Level 5.
• Check in 5 days this week.
• Hit a 30-day check-in streak.

You don't sign up for quests. HoneyGate tracks your progress automatically as you go. Finish one and you get the reward: usually XP, and sometimes a special role.

See your quests with /quests in the server (only you see it), or on the Quests page of your member portal. Each one shows a progress bar so you know how close you are.

Quests come in a few rhythms:

• Daily quests reset every day.
• Weekly quests reset each week.
• One-time quests are milestones you complete once.

So if you miss a daily quest, don't worry. A fresh one comes around.

Daily check-in

The daily check-in is the simplest reward of all. Open your member portal once a day and click Check in (or run /checkin in the server, same thing). You get a reward for that day, and checking in on consecutive days builds a streak.

• The longer your streak, the better. Most servers add a small bonus that grows with your streak on top of the base XP, and give bonus rewards at milestones like 7 days, 30 days, and 100 days.
• Check-ins earn you Points (your network-wide reputation), and your streak is tracked for you: current streak, longest ever, and total check-ins.
• Check-ins can also complete quests. If your server runs a "check in 5 days this week" quest, your daily click counts toward it automatically.

Your daily Points reward counts once per day (in UTC time) no matter how many HoneyGate servers you're in, so you can't double up by checking in everywhere.

Streak Shields: one miss won't wipe you out

Long streaks shouldn't die to one busy day. In servers with shields on (they're on by default):

• Every 7 days in a row you earn a Streak Shield 🛡 (you can hold a couple at a time; your server sets the exact cap).
• If you miss a single day, come back the very next day and check in. A shield is spent automatically and your streak keeps going as if you never missed.
• Shields only cover a one-day gap. Skip two or more days and the streak starts over, so it's still worth popping in daily.

Your portal tile shows the shields you're holding, and if you missed yesterday it will tell you to check in today to save your streak.

Where to do it

Everything lives on your member portal: the check-in button is on your dashboard, and your quests have their own page. In Discord, /checkin claims your day and /quests shows your progress.
