Starboard

Automatically collect your community's best messages into a highlights channel. (Pro)

A starboard is a "best of" channel. When a message gets enough of a chosen reaction, HoneyGate reposts it to a highlights channel — a fun, automatic hall of fame.

What it does

Members react to a great message with your chosen emoji (⭐ by default). Once it hits your threshold, HoneyGate copies it to the starboard channel.

Setting it up

In the admin panel, open Starboard and set:

1. The starboard channel (where highlights are posted).
2. The emoji to count and the threshold (how many reactions are needed).
3. Options:
   • Allow self-stars or not.
   • Remove from the board if reactions drop back below the threshold.
   • Media only (images/video) — keeps it to visual highlights.
   • Skip NSFW channels.
   • Exclude certain channels or authors with certain roles.
   • (Optional) award the original author some XP when they make the board.

Member experience

Nothing to learn — members just react as normal. When a message earns enough reactions, it shows up in the starboard for everyone to enjoy.

Tips

• Start the threshold a little higher than you think; you can always lower it.
• A small XP reward for getting starred encourages great posts.
