Invite tracking
See who's bringing new members in, score it honestly, and reward top recruiters with roles automatically. (Pro)
Invite tracking tells you who invited whom, scored honestly, so you can see which members are actually growing your community and reward them automatically.
What it does
When someone joins, HoneyGate works out which invite link they used and attributes the join to whoever made that link. Every inviter gets a real invite score:
Real invites = people they brought who are still in the server and weren't flagged as brand-new throwaway accounts, plus any bonus you grant.
Someone who leaves stops counting. A wave of freshly made alt accounts never counts. That's what makes the leaderboard worth competing for. It can't be farmed.
Setting it up
In the admin panel, open Invite Tracking and:
- Turn it on.
- (Optional) Choose a log channel. The bot posts one line per join: who invited them, their running invite total, and a caution when the account is brand-new.
- Flag brand-new accounts. Joins by accounts younger than this many hours (default 24) are flagged and don't count toward scores. This only affects scoring; nobody is kicked or banned. Set 0 to switch it off.
- (Optional) Turn on track leaves so people who leave stop counting.
Permission note: HoneyGate needs the Manage Server permission to read your invite list. Without it, joins are still recorded but the inviter can't be identified.
Reward roles
Turn recruiters into VIPs: pick a number of real invites and a role, for example @Recruiter at 5 and @Ambassador at 25. HoneyGate hands the role out the moment someone gets there, and a sweep every few minutes catches anything else, like bonus credit you just granted. Once earned, the role is kept, even if their count later dips.
HoneyGate's own role must sit above the reward roles in Server Settings → Roles. The page warns you when it doesn't, and grants retry automatically once you fix the order.
Bonus invites
Hand-pick extra credit from the admin page. Reward someone who promoted you outside Discord, or carry over counts from a previous bot. Bonus counts toward reward roles, and a negative bonus docks credit.

Tips
- Start with one attainable rank (5 real invites) and one aspirational one (25). Recognised recruiters recruit more.
- Make a separate invite link per campaign (Twitter, a partner, a creator) and watch the log channel to see which one delivers.
- The flagged and left columns on the leaderboard show you low-quality invite sources at a glance.
